Regarding success stories, Kia EV6 is the first name that comes to my mind as an automotive journalist. The Korean fully electric SUV sold so well that there was a two-year waiting list even before the first unit hit the market. The EV6 offers one of the best ranges out of its category, a bold exterior design, and a very modern cabin. As if it wasn't enough, Kia recently added a GT version that is as fast as most supercars of the modern era.
The Kia EV6 might be the best electric car money can buy today. Of course, I have evidence to support my point and prove I am not the only one who thinks so. The Korean SUV received several awards in the last few months.
So here are some of the most prestigious awards the 2023 Kia EV6 has received so far, as I am sure there are many more to come.
2023 Car and Driver 10 best SUVs
Car and Driver are one of the most respected entities when it comes to vehicle evaluation. Of course, there is always a part of subjectivity, but there are too many people involved in the process with car and Driver to make the EV6 just the choice of the moment. If the EV6 won this award, it truly deserves it.
2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year
It is the North American Utility Vehicle of the year jury we are talking about here. It is usually composed of a plethora of well-known and respected automotive journalists like Doug DeMuro. A few Canadian journalists are on the list, including Antoine Joubert, Jeremy Sinek, Marc Lachapelle, Gabriel Gélinas, Lesley Wimbush, and Denis Duquet.
2022 IIHS Top Safety Pick+
Safety tests are more difficult year after year and just getting an overall good at the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety is already an achievement. However, the 2023 Kia EV6 got the most prestigious title of them all (Top Safety Pick +) thanks to all the high-tech safety features it's equipped with.

In total, five Kia models found their way to the top in their respective categories, which is very impressive. Of course, the Kia EV6 won the award in the compact crossover category.

The Drive team selected the 2023 Kia EV6 for their best EV of 2022 award because Kia created a good EV and a great vehicle overall. Its styling is over the top, and the driving dynamic sets it apart from the rest of the category, according to The Drive team.
2022 Winter Vehicle Award for Electric Vehicles
The New England Motor Press Association, voted for the EV6 to be the Best EV of 2022. The EV6 was chosen thanks to its impressive technologies and engineering excellence. The journalist of the NEMPA was amazed by the spaceship look of the Korean SUV.
